Has anyone seen a decent photo showing the situation at the start of the Finn Medal race? The one on TV was not as authoritative as it could have been because the Live Line overlay showing the starting line was not in the right place for much of the starting sequence.

Don't think Gilles was over - the Hungarian was level and was ok

There was a camera angle from the committee boat on one of the replays, and you could sort of line up the orange flags. Didn't look like he was over.

Made for a far more interesting race though. I was hiding behind the sofa for much of it...

Really nice to see the sportsmanship between the medallists at the end. Seems like Scott has every bit of Ainslie's ability but also enjoys the respect of his fellow sailors. Didn't feel like this in 2012 when Ainslie won.

2012 was a very different (and more fractious) regatta.
I think there were still 3 potential Gold medallists going into the medal race so a more aggressive approach was always likely.
And I think they are very different people...
