Sod's law always rears its ugly head when ever I try and run our training sessions. So we end up with too much or too little wind all the time. My favorite game that the kids also love is the Vertical Races. Word of warning don't try it when the tides out!

whenever racing is cancelled (light winds) @ our club we take out a few club toppers and just mess about by capsising, tieing them together 2 make catamarans, have paddling races, throw coaches in the water....

dont know but when there isnt much wind but it is still quite warm we do capsizing parctice. kids love it and it is also good practice so that they know what to do if they ever are in that situation.

(wow that website is blocked on my school server )

pirates is amazing, the trick is 2 hav a small crew in a topper with flippers and a snorkel! they dive underneath the water, grab hold of the enemy daggerboard and flip it! sooo funny! exept when it happens to you....

Try the number game, i always find this a good laugh when the wind dies and i am coaching:

one in each boat

number actions 1-4 i.e 1) capsize, 2) run round the mast, 3) change boats, 4) attempt climbing the mast. you can vary the number of activities and what they are.

always a great sucess
