One Week - Two Boat Shows

February 2022 is an exciting month for the Barton team with two UK boat shows in one week! The Barton range can be found at the inaugural Boatlife Live Show in Birmingham from 17th February to Sunday 20th with our UK distributor Barrus. The first show of the year is then rapidly followed by The RYA Dinghy and Watersports Show in Farnborough over the weekend of 26th - 27th.
In this Newsline, as well as sharing our plans for the shows, we also introduce you to our new 6:1 Topper Downhaul System, the fantastic new Birdyfish foiler and share news of an around the world voyage sponsorship.

Try Before You Buy - SkyDock Display
|

The Barton Team is excited to support two full-size SkyDock demonstration displays for visitors attending the new lifestyle show, BoatLife Live and the legendary RYA Dinghy Show. Come and discover how easy it is to lift all manner of loads up and out of the way, making use of fresh, undiscovered storage space.
SkyDock is particularly suitable for lifting dinghies, kayaks, canoes and paddleboards, as well as camping equipment, roof boxes, bicycles or anything else weighing up to 80kg. With the option of a 3:1 and 4:1 purchase system, loads can be easily lifted straight from the roof of a car or from the ground by one person with little stress. The unique Barton self-locking pulley block will take the strain and not allow lifted items to fall, even if the line is accidentally released. Come and give it a try at both shows before you buy!

NEW 6:1 Topper Downhaul Assembly

The NEW Barton 6:1 Topper Downhaul Assembly has been out on field trials with Topper Squad sailor Issy Glazebrook. She hits the water in all sorts of conditions and isn't afraid to push a product to the limits. The perfect person to give it a final good test before production. She gave us the thumbs up, so now it's available to everyone.

Barton Product Chosen for NEW Birdyfish Foiler!
|
|
We are delighted to have been chosen to supply the Jib Furlers for the New Birdyfish foiler.
Birdyfish has been created by Pierre Rhimbault. A graduate from the EIGSI engineering school, he studied while also pursuing a high-level sports career. A member of Frances 470 youth team he became a match race skipper and member of CMB offshore racing, as well as participating in the 2017 solo Figaro race.
In his own words, "the goal is to make foiling affordable for everyone, so that even beginners can have a go. Despite being a professional Figaro skipper, I couldn't afford these sensations - it was way too expensive."

The giant SUPs have left the factory and now freshly arrived in the UK. If your heading to the RYA Dinghy Show youll be the first to see these mega boards on tour before hitting the water at RYA events around the country.
At nearly 6 meters long, it will be hard not to notice them! Working with the RYA Onboard Programme, we have sponsored eight of these huge SUPs to encourage crews of youngsters to venture out on the water. We will keep you updated on where to find them.

Sponsoring 18 Year Old Sailor on Round the World Voyage

|
Something to follow over the coming months... We have recently sponsored an 18 year old German Sailor who is restoring a 32ft Nantucket Clipper with the goal of setting sail around the world on the 1st May.
Johannes Li graduated from school and trained as an electrician. Having faced the challenge of growing up in social care and suffering from Asperger's syndrome Johannes is very determined and combined with a strong sense of adventure he aims to push his boundaries and achieve his dream.
To follow and support him along the way join his Facebook group. At Barton we will be supplying Deck Equipment to ensure his yacht is kitted out with durable and reliable gear.
