After a difficult season, one last event to decide the European Title will be held in Leucate, France.

The Freestyle Pro Tour is very excited to announce and confirm a season finale event in Leucate, France! With 10.000 euros in prize money, the event will ensure that the 2022 season will finish off with a bang despite a disappointing second half of the season. The Wesh Center will host the EFPT Men's division between the 23rd of October and the 1st of November for a 10 day waiting period with two competition days. We are so excited to be able to bring you explosive action as part of the closing of an exciting title race. Will we see Jacopo Testa (AV-Boards/Point-7) be dethroned by Yentel Caers (JP/NeilPryde) in high winds, or will he remain at the top and be crowned the 2022 EFPT Champion? And how will the other riders fare in their quest to rank on the European scene?

The Leucate announcement has come in the wake of a very difficult year, as the second half of the 2022 season was marked by many event cancellations. Although all parties were motivated to create the best competitions possible, monetary issues, calendar clashes, and administrative roadblocks all contributed to the multiple cancellations. We regret to officially inform our community that the anticipated events in Brazil, Cyprus, the Netherlands, and Geneva have all been called off. Although these cancellations were unavoidable, the FPT team is working with all the organisers to ensure that we can bring the freestyle windsurf scene to these locations next season! The 2023 Tour is set to be the biggest and most expansive yet, and will hopefully bring our sport to new horizons. The addition of a last minute 2022 event has been a top priority of the FPT team, to ensure a proper title battle in strong wind conditions to close off a difficult season.

For now, we are so excited to close off the season in France with all of our best riders, and we invite our audience to celebrate the crowning of our winners with us this October. We hope to see you all there in person, or supporting the tour online!
