It's hard to believe but after nearly two years of planning the Fireball World Championships 2026 in Torbay are almost upon us.

Entries will be accepted up to 11:59 hours on 17th July so, if you are intending to compete and have not yet entered, get your entry in now to join the 85 boats already signed up.

The social highlight of the week is going to be the Legends Night. There is a prize for the oldest event clothing, and there are concerns that the amount of nylon and polyester from the 1970's rubbing together at the bar could set off some sort of electrical surge that blacks out a major part of Torquay. If you have sailed a Fireball in the past and want to catch up with old friends, be at Royal Torbay Yacht Club from 6pm on Tuesday 28th July.

About the 2026 Fireball Worlds

The event is being hosted by Royal Torbay Yacht Club and is preceded by the UK Nationals. The Nationals run from Monday 20th to Friday 24th July (including inspection/measurement days) and the Worlds from Saturday 25th to Friday 31st July (including inspection/measurement days).
