Farr 400's turbocharged and winning races

by Farr Yacht Sales on 2 Jul 2017
Farr 400 "Jeroboam" Laurent Givry
The last few months leading into the sailing season have been extremely busy for the Farr Yacht Sales (FYS) international brokerage team, with sales in the USA, Europe, Middle East and South America.

Two turbocharged Farr 400's, hulls 10 and 11, have been sold into the Chesapeake Bay region of the USA and northern Italy. Both boats received a performance enhancing bow modification designed by FYD and built by Premier Composite Technologies in Dubai.

Congratulations go to Laurent Givry who has sailed his Farr 400, aptly named 'Jeroboam', to wins in the ORC division of the NYYC Annual Regatta and ORC1 in the Annapolis to Newport Race. This past week he placed third in ORC at Block Island Race Week. Laurent has quickly found his winning form after moving up from his previous boat, a Farr-designed Beneteau 36.7.

Meanwhile, hull 10, a twin-wheel version of her turbocharged sistership, was purchased by a great fan and owner of many of Farr-designed boats. He plans to compete in a series of regattas beginning mid-September. Keep an eye out for the name and results of “Freccia del Chienti” or “Chienti’s Arrow”.

If you are ready to join these new Farr 400 owners contact Farr Yacht Sales for expert brokerage services. Our experienced team of representatives offers an efficient, comprehensive, international brokerage service with the sole objective of providing the best possible outcome for our clients.
