On 15 June 2017 Yacht Sourcing celebrated its appointment as Official Dealer of Ferretti Yachts, Pershing and Riva brands in Indonesia. The occasion was marked by a splendid reception in Bali, at the Métis Restaurant and Gallery on trendy Seminyak strip. More than 300 members of the international yachting industry, high society A-Listers and corporate and media personalities were present at the celebratory event, complete with a fashion show, entertainment, and signature F&B by the island’s most prestigious venue.

There has been huge growth in the Asian boating scene of late, presenting many promising opportunities in the luxury yachting industry. Southeast Asia, and especially Indonesia, is well on its way to becoming the “Caribbean of the East” given its lush tropical landscapes and pristine marine cruising grounds, dotted with over 18,300 islands (according to the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN). Of those, only 922 are permanently inhabited, and many of the remainder are sufficiently off the beaten track as to be virtually undiscovered. Without a doubt, the best way to explore Indonesia is by boat.

Xavier Fabre, co-founder and Sales Director of Yacht Sourcing, says that “the company is ready to take on the various opportunities presented by the growth of the yachting industry in Indonesia. As the official dealer for Ferretti Yachts, Pershing and Riva brands, we have the ability to offer to our Indonesian clientele the very best of Italian style, ingenuity, and engineering.”

Yacht Sourcing was born from two passions; love of the sea, and the love of boats. Its co-founders and partners, Xavier Fabre and Boumedienne Senous, joined forces in 2016 to set up a company to take advantage of the immense opportunities arising from the rapidly growing yachting scene of Indonesia. Their passion for yachting and the Indonesian Archipelago, combined with their own strong sea-faring backgrounds, led to an international joint venture which also custom-builds unique traditional phinisi schooners and refits world-class luxury yachts.

Yacht Sourcing strives to be the leading yachting company and a trusted point of reference for boating in Indonesia. It aims to position itself as the preferred yachting company in Indonesia for new sales, brokerage focusing on Ferretti Group brand yachts, phinisi [schooner] new builds, yacht management, yacht charters and marina management, and to build strong relationships through professional conduct.

“It is our ambition that Yacht Sourcing becomes synonymous with the yachting lifestyle in Indonesia, through yachting lifestyle events and yacht charter promotional activities. We are committed to developing and fostering sustainable marina infrastructure with reputable industry partners and investors, and to contributing to the growth of the Indonesian marine industry in a constructive and meaningful way.”

Yacht Sourcing’s new Jakarta office at Jetski Café, Jalan Pantai Mutiara, Pluit, North Jakarta 14450 will be open for business on 4 September 2017, and will be the main sales point for the Ferretti Yachts, Pershing and Riva lines.
