Long-time supporter of sporting events in the Philippines, Lane Moving (part of the Asia Tigers group of independent, international household and commercial removal and storage specialists) have been appointed title sponsors of the Puerto Galera Y C All Souls Regatta 2005.
News of the Lane All Souls Regatta is spreading rapidly throughout the Philippines. The fledgling Abanico Yacht Club in Puerto Princessa (Palawan) is planning to send crew to compete in PGYC’s biggest event of this racing year. In Subic Bay a visiting Baba 36, on its way back to Honolulu, is having her bottom cleaned so that she will have a chance to win a trophy and some new friends. The Regatta has even garnered an entry from Taguig.
Most of the regatta accommodation is now booked out, so prospective entrants are advised that first choice hotels/resorts may not be still available. Check the PGYC website for more information.
The Regatta and the Jazz Festival combined have proven to be a great draw for the media. TV Station Studio 23 have confirmed attendance, and Sports Unlimited are just waiting for the go ahead. Local radio and print media will also be in attendance to make sure that the sights and sounds of Puerto Galera reach every viewer, listener and reader in the land.
The Puerto Galera Jazz Festival is sponsored by El Galleon Resort, Cebu Pacific Air, Paco Park Oasis Hotel and the Foreign Correspondent's Club (Hong Kong).
