More shots of the dinghies at the 2006 UK Dinghy Show at Alexandra Palace over the weekend of the 4 and 5 March. Over 80 classes were on display and this year both the Solo and Enterprise classes were celebrating 50 years and the National 12 their 70th birthday. See here both old and new examples.

Very early clinker built National 12

And 70 years later the state-of-the-art National 12

Looking very smart the OK. Briton's Nick Craig (GBR) recently won the World title for the second time.

A wooden Merlin Rocket, another long lived class.

The Hornet, another Jack Holt design, much updated over the years.

The Enterprise - 50 this year - Richard Estaugh and Pete Rowley won the Worlds in Sri Lanka recently.

Another comparison - The first (50 year old)Solo looking spic and span.
