ELAN Impression 514 under sail SW
Captivating in her style, Elan’s new Impression 514 is a fast cruising yacht in a league of her own; luxuriously appointed throughout with supreme comfort and a sumptuous feeling of space. She moves through the water with grace and promises totally blissful cruising and at the same time, most rewarding sailing.

Elan was one of the first to introduce this sleek new style of cruising yacht in series production with the launch of their Impression 434 in early 2004 and it has followed with huge success worldwide gathering many prestigious awards.

The masterful design by the distinguished Rob Humphreys and the superior structural build by Elan combine with Germanischer Lloyd GL Plus Certification to give a compelling formula in itself. Humphreys is well known for his inspired configuration of the keel, rudder, rig and hull design that produce a perfectly balanced yacht with remarkably high stability and excellent response.

The lines of the Impression 514 are streamlined and elegant with luxurious touches throughout. Her cabins rest with supreme comfort with large en-suite bathrooms and there is even the choice of an office. The semi deck saloon opens into a magnificent space with overhead and side panoramic windows welcoming in plenty of natural light and excellent views. Easy to relax into the comfy lounge area with two arm chairs or whip up something tasty in the spacious L- shaped chef’s galley. The choice of four interior versions allows various possibilities to individualize this cruising yacht.

With an abundance of storage throughout and extremely generous water and fuel supplies, the 514 is unbeatably set for any long offshore cruising adventures.

Elan’s 514 has a keel-stepped mast and a powerful performance hull, vacuum infused with the latest 3-D technology. She can be rigged as a sloop or cutter with the choice of in-mast furling. At your finger tips you have the option of electric or hydraulic powered winches which are all located in the helming area for ease of handling with minimum crew, keeping the cabin top clear. On deck the vast cockpit area provides excellent comfort with ergonomically positioned twin wheel steering system. Not to forget the BBQ grill and sink with hot and cold water are all there ready for entertaining.

The push of a button opens the garage door which serves as a large swimming platform and additional entertainment area. This garage space stores a Tender up to 2.60 metres, the option of a retractable hydraulic gangway eases the access on and off the yacht.

The hull is molded in a one step process with Elan’s highly advanced technology based on environmentally friendly vacuum-assisted lamination. This advanced technique considerably improves the strength and mechanical properties of the hull laminate by as much as 50%.The hull's powerful inner structure ensures that all loads from the keel and rig are distributed effectively with a minimum flexing of the hull.

The Impression 514 is a sailing yacht whose illustrious pedigree is a promise for excellence and quality throughout and richly rewarding cruising.

Production is due to commence early 2007 at Elan’s new specialised yard.
