GJW Direct Lark Belle Isle Series at Penzance Sailing Club - Preview

by Laura Lily 21 May 2013 07:12 UTC 25-27 May 2013

The new boys on the block from Penzance held their first open meeting last year, which was an excellent show of the amazing things to come. If you are planning to attend the National Championships next year, then I seriously recommend that you get down to Penzance Sailing Club this coming Bank Holiday to get your practise in.

As with last year, the kite surfers will be adorning the scenery, the Sea Cadet unit is available for those needing accommodation and we have the return of the awesome band, 'The Dolphin Fly'.

The format for the weekend begins with some race training with Karen Falcon. Those wishing to attend the training please be on the slip at Penzance Sailing Club with boats rigged for 11am.

Then on Sunday we have 3 races, with the first start at 10.55am and briefing at about 9.30am. We will be sharing the course with the Enterprise fleet who are also joining us for their one day open on Sunday.

Monday will begin at the same time with 2 races back to back. If any of you are staying a little longer, there is also club racing in the evening which you are welcome to join.

The weekend is a fabulous £35 entry which includes an evening meal on Sunday. So get those boats packed and wheels in motion. Penzance promises to be one of the highlights on this year's Belle Isle. So come on down and support this great club with its up and coming Lark Fleet.
