Lack of wind in the first two races
Today began the competition in Off Valparaiso, the most traditional and oldest event of Chile, organized by the Arturo Prat Naval School with the first two races of the event and seven Soto40s fighting for the podium.
After a long delay due to lack of wind, the first of eight races started with the seven Soto40s competing; Bellavita (CHI010) Jorge Errazuriz, Estampa del Viento (CHI031) Miguel Gonzalez, Itau (CHI011) Dag Von Appen, Mitsubishi (CHI015) Horacio Pavez, Pisco Black (CHI017) Bernardo Matte, Santander (CHI012) Jorge Araneda and Yali (CHI013) Ramon Eluchans.
Estampa DelViento had an early start and Santander was also penalised. The result of this first race left the podium as Santander, Bellavista and Yali. They were followed by the Estampa del Viento, Itau, Pisco Black and Mitsubishi.
The second race of the day had to be shortened again due to lack of wind. The top three in this race were Yali, Bellavista and Pisco Black.
