Irish Nationals set for Cushendall as Flying 15s announce 2016 programme

by John O'Sullivan 1 Dec 2015 15:29 UTC 1 December 2015

The Flying Fifteen Association of Ireland has announced its programme of events for 2016, with the highlight, the Championship of Ireland, to be hosted in the spectacular location of Cushendall, Co. Antrim.

Association President Keith Poole said: "This looks like a fabulous line-up of events, and FFAI are delighted to be returning to Cushendall with our premier event, the Championship of Ireland, which will be held over three days in July.

"We hope to see entries break 40, with enquiries already being received from England and Scotland and hopefully we see a general increased turnout at all our regional events, building on the success of the 2015 season.

"FFAI has also decided to officially reinstigate the Western Championship into the programme in late October at Lough Derg Yacht Club who lay on great racing and hospitality at their annual Freshwater Keel Boat Regatta.

"Thanks to Alan Green for his sterling work in putting this exciting programme together."
