Modern take on a very classic tale

Every now and then, an image floats past on your screen and it is enough to make you stop and make enquiries. Such is the case with Theodora, and she is currently looking for a new custodian.
Whilst her lines might make you think this is a 60 or 70-year-old girl, she is in fact effectively an eight year old. Her Kauri Pine form, with an epoxy skin, is made all the more impressive by her custom deck plates for winches, the work that S&S did to tweak her ancient design, including moving the mast back a bit, and the myriad of other details that you get to learn when speaking with her owner. Like any project of this nature, the overall design and dedication to having her look like this today is the result of a massive amount of manhours, and the pursuit to have the best.
Theodora's Skipper says of his vessel, “Theodora is a modern example of Olin Stephen’s design mastery. Her hull is modelled on the New York Yacht Club’s NY42 class design, that was so successful in the pre-war years, and of which 20 were built. Her sheer and overhangs are balanced perfectly, and attract admiring remarks wherever she goes.”
Theodora is a comfortable cruiser by way of her steady and stable motion in a choppy sea, her reassuring lifting to following seas, her practical and roomy cockpit, her wide side decks, and the secure cabin where a hand hold is within reach at all times.
