Ocean Safety, leading safety experts specialising in the worldwide supply, distribution, service and hire of marine and waterside safety equipment, has been appointed a UK distributor of Linelauncher, which propels a rope and flotation device up to 100m to either recover a person or to transfer goods or a heavy duty tow/rescue rope. LineLauncher, which was developed in New Zealand, is the latest product to join Ocean Safety's portfolio of safety products.
The LineLauncher is powered by a 16g CO2 cylinder and when activated propels a hi-vis floating polypropylene rope and flotation device up to 80m. The LineLauncher, which weights 3.5kg and measures 0.8m in length, can be used in any situation where a line needs to be launched from vessel to vessel, vessel to shore or shore to vessel including vertical launches. It can be used to recover a person from the sea or in a rescue situation, transfer goods or a heavy duty tow/rescue rope.
The LineLauncher is an advanced emergency solution, and can be re-armed and re-used after the cylinder is spent. It can also be used on land and use is not restricted by any firearms regulations.
