On Saturday August 10, the Royal Norwegian Yacht Club 12 Meter "Vema III" will come to New York Harbor to engage in a grand friendship sail with our two America's Cup 12 Meters, US 42 & US 46 representing Manhattan Yacht Club.

This will be a spectacular show of three historic 12 Meters sailing together in New York Harbor. You are invited for a front row seat by riding aboard Arabella and watching this incredible display of sailing beauty.

Arabella will motor down the harbor near the two 12 Meters as they sail together. You will get to see the display up close and personal! Plus there will be a play-by-play announcer providing commentary as the yachts tack, jibe and try to pass each other.

Vema III was originally built in 1933 for George Unger Vetlesen who was a wealthy Norwegian living in the U.S.A and owner of Vema, a 300-ton schooner and Vema II a 14 ft dinghy. The name Vema came from the first two letters of the owner's name and his American wife's surname Maud. In summer Vetlesen used to cross the Atlantic with his schooner to Norway. In 2000, Vema III was totally rebuilt and now sails as one of the most handsome 12 Meters in the world.

Arabella is not just a spectator boat. She is also a luxurious mega yacht. You will be watching the sail in high style! There will be an open bar featuring free beers and wines, plus Manon rose, Mt Gay Rum and other mixed drinks. There will also be appetizers plus cheese and crudite platters. In short, this will be a super exciting and glamorous outing fit for corporate entertaining, a family outing, super special date or just plain relaxing.

Don't miss this incredible summer afternoon in New York Harbor!

Ferries depart for Arabella at: 12:15 pm, 12:45 pm & 1:15 pm.

Arabella departs her mooring around 2 pm and the Friendship Sail will begin around the same time. Arabella is expected to be back at her mooring by 4 pm and guests can begin departing. All guests will be off Arabella by 5 pm.

Tickets - $125 per person (children 18 & younger at $75), includes open bar and picnic lunch. Buy Tickets here.
