As you are already aware 2020 is the Tercentenary of Royal Cork Yacht Club and a week of activities has been planned from the 6th to 12th July to which Irish Cruising Club members have been invited.

This will be a very important event in the history of Irish yachting and it will be a privilege to participate in the celebrations.

We would assume that you would already have had invitations from the Royal Cork Yacht Club and have received details of their events.

As 2020 is also the one hundred and twenty-fifth anniversary of Howth Yacht Club it is intended to commence an Irish Cruising Club cruise covering both events at Howth Yacht Club.

The Flag Officers and committee of the ICC invite you and your members to join us on the cruise and also to the Celebration Gala Dinner in Cork City.

Any of your members who wish to join with the Irish Cruising Club in any of the events that we are arranging as part of our cruise would be most welcome.

The preliminary arrangements for the ICC cruise are as follows:

1. July 2 - Welcome BBQ at Howth Yacht Club
2. July 3 - Celebration Dinner in Howth Yacht Club
3. July 4 - ICC members leave for RCYC
4. July 6 - Boats arrive in Crosshaven - weather dependent - informal gathering at the RCYC that evening
5. July 7 - Boats cruise to Cork City - 12 miles - dependent on pontoons being available at the City Quays - RCYC in discussion with Port of Cork Company on this issue at present.
6. July 8 - ICC Member tour to Irish Distillers Plant in Middleton or a tour of historic Spike Island followed by a lunch time get together.
7. July 8 - To mark the occasion of the RCYC Tercentenary, the Irish Cruising Club will host a Gala Dinner at a venue in Cork City to which all RCYC members will be invited together with members from our associate cruising clubs including CCA, CCC, RCC and OCC.
8. July 9 and 10 members return to RCYC cruise to other locations in Cork harbour at leisure
9. July 11 - ICC members participate in Tercentenary Anniversary Dinner at RCYC
10. July 12 - RCYC "Great Gathering" Event in Cork Harbour - open participation by all vessels encouraged - international naval vessels to attend & President of Ireland to review "sail past"
11. July 13 - Cork Week Regatta commences - ICC boats leave Crosshaven - the possibility of a continuing cruise up the west coast is still under discussion with perhaps a stop in an ICC western region venue.

If you plan to attend any of the ICC organized events in order to get some idea of numbers attending we would appreciate if you could complete the attached form and return to Derek White as soon as possible.

Yours sincerely,
Stanton Adair
Commodore
