A new look for the Nicholson 32 Association

The Nicholson 32 Association has been busy during the lockdown. A major overhaul of its website by designer Tristram Woolston (a long time Nic 32 owner) brings a refreshed look and lots of new content to add to that offered their old site (built by volunteer members).

People interested in this go-anywhere yacht can browse its history and explore its sea-friendly features, as well as find boats currently for sale. And within the secure area, members will be able to read dozens of articles on maintenance and upgrades, study the original technical drawings, view a map showing the details and locations of boats and much more. Plus joining and paying subscriptions will be done through the website - freeing up members' time to organise rallies, social events and even a spot of sailing!

About the Nicholson 32

Designed by Peter and Charles Nicholson, Nicholson 32s are amongst the strongest and most seaworthy GPR classics ever built. Suitable for either blue water sailing or coastal cruising, Nicholson 32s have sailed to all parts of the world. They are renowned for their easy handling, safety and comfort at sea, their hull shape and low centre of gravity (lead encapsulated keel) giving them stability both under way and at anchor. 382 Nicholson 32s were built in the UK between 1962 and 1981 and more were boats built in Australia under licence; eleven Mks of the Nicholson32 were designed although only 10 were built (the Mk lX was not).
