One of the most asked about items of the Safety Equipment Requirements for WCC rallies is the specification of liferafts required for taking part.

To help dispel the myths and clarify the optimum raft for keeping your yachts crew safe, we have joined forces with Ocean Safety and Hamble School of Yachting to help guide you through the common questions and pitfalls.

We explain the essential certification standards that your raft will need to meet, plus considerations for stowage and launching to ensure your raft will be readily available in an emergency.

For those joined up to a rally, liferaft certificates can be pre-checked via the Members Area to ensure that your raft meets the standard. The WCC team are also available offer advice or contact the experts at Ocean Safety for details of safety equipment to ensure you're rally ready.
