As nautical events once again start to set sail around the world, Les Voiles de St. Barth Richard Mille is already looking forward to 2021, and preparing its 12th edition, which takes place April 11-17.

More than ever, the organizers are putting their faith in the future and promising to organize an event with the same excellence as past years, where conversation, competition, and conviviality are on the roster.

In order to simplify registration for participants, while providing as much flexibility as possible, pre-registration is already open for 2021, with no cancellation fees.

By pre-registering, each boat can benefit from personalized service in terms of logistics via our concierge service, without any charge.

Spotlight on sponsors

If the 2021 regatta is able to take place, it's first and foremost thanks to the support of those who have sponsored Les Voiles de St. Barth Richard Mille since its debut.

Due to this year's unusual circumstances, the organizers offer extra special thanks to its title sponsor, Richard Mille, its official sponsor Caisse d'Epargne CEPAC Antilles, the Collectivité de St. Barthélemy, Veuve Clicquot, and Sisley Paris, for their steadfast support of the regatta.

"Les Voiles de St. Barth Richard Mille is like a big family," explains François Tolède, "and our sponsors, who have been with us for many years, are part of it. After hurricane Irma hit, they showed us that we can always count on them, and this new crisis has only helped solidify our bonds."

The health situation in St. Barthélemy

At the current time, the island of St. Barthélemy continues to resist the effects of the global pandemic: "We are not facing an epidemic situation," explains Nils Dufau, president of the Tourism Committee of St. Barthélemy.

While the requirements for entering the island could evolve by April, the Collectivité de St. Barthélemy, since the beginning, has done everything it possibly could to seriously limit the propagation of the virus.

The island reacted rather rapidly in getting state-of-the-art equipment for easy, rapid testing: "We were in the forefront in terms of the measures we instituted," adds Nils Dufau. "We were the first in the Caribbean to have such a sophisticated testing machine, which is especially efficient with results that are 90% to 94% reliable."

Coming to St. Barth... what are the requirements

The island is open to all tourists.

To enter, as of today, all passengers that have traveled anyplace in the past 14 days other than the islands of Guadeloupe, Martinique, Saint Martin, and Sint Maarten must present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before their flight.

All passengers coming from North America and Latin America must take a second test after being on the island for seven days.

Temperatures are also taken when passengers arrive on the island and masks must be worn in all enclosed spaces.
