Step aboard the Lagoon Sixty 5

by Lagoon 29 Jan 2021 15:24 UTC

The new Lagoon Sixty 5 sailing catamaran comes as a worthy successor of the highly successful 620 model. This Lagoon catamaran also follows on from the Sixty 7 Power Catamaran. The amount of volume that the Sixty 5 offers for socializing and relaxing will immediately impress you.

As you step on board the Lagoon Sixty 5 you will be able to appreciate her wide transom platforms and low stairs. They allow guests to comfortably access the massive cockpit. A fixed platform-bridge connects the transoms. It allows movement between spaces even when the tender lift platform is lowered on to the sea. The cockpit is an impressive social space. It is home to a comfortable table for eight people, with plenty of space for sunbathing and the great option of a versatile aft bench that can face either the cockpit area or the sea thanks to its pivoting backrest.

Be at one with your catamaran

With its slender hulls and sculptural curves, the Lagoon Sixty 5 has rightly earned its place in the world of luxury sailing yachts. The secret of its beauty lies in the sensual lines. They are an alliance of both tradition and modernity that orchestrate its generous proportions.

On board the Sixty 5, the flybridge is a key space that is accessed via wide, safe stairs. Electric sliding doors give the option of this space being fully enclosed as required. The Sixty 5's flybridge is a beautifully appointed deck with two helm stations. One on each side, for clean, unobstructed views. The rigid bimini is fitted with see-through glass. It allows the skipper to keep an eye on the sails when they are hoisted up. The flybridge is home to a huge, comfortable and sleek looking sofa. You will also find spacious storage lockers underneath the sofa and a reclining backrest. A large dining table and another wet bar with a plancha grill, fridge and cutlery lockers, complete the picture.

Precision and Finesse

When on board the Lagoon Sixty 5, you can look straight through fore to aft and out over your surroundings with commanding 360 degrees views. Her elegant interior is by Nauta Design, and demonstrates the new signature "Connect" outfit from Nauta. The main saloon is comfortable and luxurious with open spaces and natural light. The same design concept has been applied to the guest cabins. They enjoy good overhead height and excellent natural light and views. The high level of finishing throughout every cabin reflects the luxury feel of the main saloon.

The bright and spacious saloon is located forward. It has a design palette that includes grey oak and beige upholstery for the sofas. A large dining table is positioned on the starboard side, with a u-shaped sofa and lounge area with a low coffee table on the port side. This first hull has a galley-down layout with four cabins. It delivers the massive main deck saloon space for guests to enjoy. From the saloon there is direct access to the foredeck terrace. This area offers features sofas, a coffee table and an optional canopy shade that can be installed on to stainless pillars. This space is also ideal for storing diving gear.

Share adventures with your loved ones

In terms of accommodation layout, the starboard aft side is dedicated to the owner. Combining luxury, comfort and style, the owner's cabin is a particular on board highlight, and it utilises and improves on all the best features from the master suite on the 620 including private terrace access to the water to aft. The cabin itself features a wide island bed facing the ample windows. Enjoy also a working space including a desk, bookshelves and a comfortable sofa in a strong indigo colour.

Forward of this side of the hull there is a double VIP cabin. It offers a private dressing area, floor to ceiling mirror and impressively sized shower cabin. Opposite in the port hull to aft there is a private galley that has direct cockpit access. The galley is fully equipped with top notch Miele home-size appliances including a microwave, electric stove and oven, double fridge, double sink and a secondary freezer in the floor to safely refrigerate the catch of the day!

A catamaran made to navigate the known and the unknown

Her sailing credentials are impressive with smooth and easy handling. On this Lagoon Sixty 5 the sail area equals 330sqm with the sail wardrobe comprised of a mainsail and a genoa. A Code 0 or other sails according to individual preferences can complement the base sail plan. This hull is equipped with a carbon fiber boom and has carbon mast as an option for performance-focused owners.

Her long legs allow you to eat up the miles. Her luxurious outfitting lets you enjoy total comfort when under way and at rest. She is a beauty that is sure to turn heads wherever she goes!
