Offshore App from PredictWind - The complete weather tool

by Predictwind 29 Mar 05:24 UTC

PredictWind has been working hard on improving the Offshore App adding new features, along with the best forecast data available, making the Offshore App vital for safe offshore passages.

More than ever when mariners are coastal sailing or crossing the ocean, they find the PredictWind Offshore App has all the weather tools and connection capabilities needed to keep them safe.

From highly experienced users, sailing non-stop around the world to those taking their first passage, the Offshore App offers the same high-quality data and intuitive features. Pip Hare recently completed the Vendee Globe race, and here is what she had to say, "The Offshore App enabled me to access and view GRIB files, satellite images and routing on an easy-to-use platform. I found PredictWind a versatile and comprehensive platform for weather analysis."

Some of the latest updates include the addition of the SPIRE & UKMO global models. Spire rates as the #1 forecast model for offshore use, showing better accuracy for both wind speed and direction. The new GRIB interface allows you to download any combination of GRIB files, at any resolution. Spot forecasts deliver a 10-day forecast for Wind Speed and Direction, Gust, Rain, Cape, Cloud, Temperature & Wave for a location anywhere in the world all on a web, satellite or SSB/email connection.

Other features include land, ship and buoy observation data from anywhere in the world, YB tracking integration, Multilingual help, Iridium GO! Data usage display updated daily.
