Throughout April RYA members enjoy not one but two special thank you gifts when they sign up their friends and family to RYA membership, with the RYA Refer a Friend scheme. Plus, sign up five new members and they'll also receive a surprise RYA goodie bag!

Refer a Friend rewards existing members for spreading the word about RYA membership.

For every member that refers a friend or family member, who decides to sign up as a new member, we will give the referring member an RYA branded Overboard drybag and an RYA branded flask to say thank. Plus, an additional RYA goodie bag if they introduce five new members during April.

Not only do the referring members enjoy their free gifts but new members also enjoy a fantastic 25% discount off their first year's subscription, so it's a win, win for everyone.

"Our members are the best people to tell others about the benefits of RYA membership and the Refer a Friend scheme is a great way for us to recognise their support in spreading the word about the benefits of membership", commented Ben Falla, RYA Head of Membership.

"Normally members get a choice of either of the 'thank you gifts' but throughout April we're offering an additional incentive to take part in the Refer a Friend scheme and give them both gifts - so that they don't have to choose a favourite, plus an additional RYA goodie bag for introducing five new members."

To introduce a friend to RYA Membership all you need to do is:

  • Visit www.rya.org.uk/go/refer
  • Complete the referral form, include the name and email address of your friend.
  • Both gifts will be automatically available to select for the duration of the month
  • We'll send your friend an email inviting them to become an RYA member, with a 25% discount.
  • If your friend becomes a member by using the link in the email, by 30 April, you will receive your gifts in the post.

RYA Goody bags will be posted to those members who introduced five new members separately to their thank you gifts once the numbers have been verified.

Membership is at the heart of everything we do at the RYA.

Every RYA membership adds another voice to our community of over 100,000 members that helps us work effectively to protect the freedom to use the water responsibly, with the minimum of restrictions.

RYA members also have access to free boating related legal, regulatory and technical advice from our in-house experts when they need it most and enjoy a whole host of benefits, rewards, discounts and offers from member partners, helping to cut the cost of their boating, while the quarterly RYA Magazine and regular newsletters help keep members up to date with all the latest news and events, advice and tips.
