The passage from French Polynesia to the Vava'u group in Tonga, and insights into the remote locations available around the islands of Fiji and Vanuatu will be explored at the next Oyster Yachts webinar, taking place on Thursday 08 April.

Experts from the Oyster team will offer first-hand knowledge and recount personal experiences of their time visiting these remote islands during previous Oyster World Rallies. This will include insights into some of the hidden and lesser-known cruising grounds which the Oyster Word Rally fleet can explore during this stop over. The fleet is due to arrive in the Vava'u Group in Tonga around the end of May 2022 and depart Vanuatu in mid-July 2022 for the next leg of the trip on the East Coast of Australia.

"Arriving at the Vava'u group of islands is an unforgettable experience," says Allie Smith, Head of Group Events at Oyster Yachts. "These are beautiful coral islands which adds a new element of skill required for safe navigation through coral reefs. On this live webinar we will share our top tips for safe coral reef navigation which may surprise you! Whether you're one of the participants in the forthcoming Oyster World Rally or a sailor who one day might be in these waters, our webinar will be full of useful, practical and inspirational advice."

It will also feature a Q&A session enabling those who have been on previous Oyster World Rallies to share their experiences and for the experts from Oyster Yachts to answer questions from the audience.

Previous Oyster webinars on French Polynesia, Galápagos Islands and transiting the Panama Canal are available on the Oyster Yachts website in the dedicated Oyster World Rally section here

The Oyster World Rally provides a fully supported experience for any Oyster owner who has always dreamed of taking part in a world circumnavigation. The Oyster World Rally team provides world class support, which includes boat preparation and service, logistics, customs procedures, provisioning, technical training and even providing professional crew through Oyster Yachts Crew finder service.

"We help and support our Oyster family through every step of their circumnavigation'" says Allie Smith, "From finding crew, to helping set up systems to run their businesses on-board, to destination guides, technical training, understanding weather and navigation, right through to being a welcoming face on arrival and organising some awesome parties. It's a 27,000-mile support service enabling our owners to have the experience of a lifetime without all the worry. By having a limited number of yachts we create a real family feel and people will make friends for life during the 16-month circumnavigation."

These Oyster World Rally webinars are part of an extensive programme of support, training and expertise provided by Oyster Yachts for participants in the Oyster World Rally. The third Oyster World Rally departs Antigua on Sunday 09 January 2022 is full with 30 Oyster Yachts preparing to take part, and many hopeful entrants on the waiting list. In response to the 2022-23 rally being oversubscribed, Oyster have recently launched the 2024-25 rally to satisfy demand. As expected only a few places remain for the voyage of a lifetime, so time is of the essence if you wish to secure a place.

The 2022-23 Oyster World Rally will leave Antigua on 09 January 2022 and head south to the Panama Canal, before arriving at the Galápagos Islands, and then onto French Polynesia. After visiting the Whitsunday Islands in Australia, the fleet then head to Indonesia, Cocos (Keeling) Islands and Mauritius. Christmas will be spent in the amazing city of Cape Town, South Africa before setting off to the remote island of St Helena, en-route back in the Caribbean in early 2023.

The following webinar in the series will be live on 20 May 2021 and will be desination Australia!
