OCC PO Jesse James reports from Trinidad that the first phase of YSATT/Cruisers/OCC mission to deliver relief to St Vincent has been completed.
The Yacht Services Association of Trinidad and Tobago (YSATT) has sent a container full of relief supplies to St Vincent following the massive eruption of its volcano, La Soufriere. Volunteers loaded supplies into a container that was shipped to St Vincent.
In a separate effort, Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Services Industries (TTCSI) President, Lara Quentrall-Thomas spoke on CCN's morning edition about the new Covid restrictions announced by the Minister of Health on the 21st of April. She addressed the specific restrictions affecting yachts which are once again facing hurricane season without being allowed entry into Trinidad and Tobago, a traditional refuge from Atlantic hurricanes. She explained that the marine services sector was being unfairly treated and often singled out for restrictions without justification.
