The Twelve Days of FiveO Christmas - Day 6

Should this photo become the cover of the book which tells the 505's history? © Christophe Favreau / www.christophefavreau.com

On the sixth day of Christmas....

As well as being superb photographs, pictures from Christophe Favreau also have a story to tell and this one shot has a lot to say! For starters, that's a lady helm 'getting the hammer down' out in the lead, which just highlights how many ladies there are in both ends of the boat.

This picture is also important as it was taken at a test event in Spain. Back in the early days of the class the Spanish were early adopters of the 5o5 and now it looks likely that they will soon be a force in the fleet once again.

The book telling the story of the 5o5 is nearly ready for publication, but author Dougal Henshall is letting you help choose a great photo for the cover. Each day we will see one of Christophe Favreau's pictures posted, then at the end readers will be allowed to comment with their vote.
