The program for the Marinas22 International Conference and Trade Exhibition brings together a fantastic line up of domestic and international speakers. The two-day program is comprised of 24 conference sessions and is delivered through a variety of plenary sessions and workshops.

The program will tackle a range of industry issues, focus on specific operational matters, and explore and showcase the opportunities and innovations of the future. Conference Chairman Mike Harvey explains how the program will evolve over the two days: "Day one of the Marinas22 program is designed to provide delegates with the research, data and tools needed to leverage the recent growth in the industry and to set their businesses up for future success.

"On day two, delegates will be encouraged to look internally at their operations to capitalise on this industry growth."

MIA CEO Suzanne Davies added, "This will be one of our best speaker line-ups yet. They will deliver relevant, timely and thought-provoking content designed to inspire delegates to capitalise on the strength of the industry".

ILIAD Catamarans is quickly filling its appointment schedule for display at the 2022 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show from 19-22 May. The company will be showcasing its popular ILIAD 50 motor yacht at the event and has been fielding intense interest in the model as well as others across its range.

ILIAD Catamarans has enjoyed remarkable success since its launch in 2019, with 14 models across its range already sold to Australian buyers who appreciate the long-range, excellent economy, customisable designs and high quality of construction and finishes afforded by each model.

In New Zealand, Surtees Boats will be at the Hutchwilco Boat Show, Auckland. With New Zealand dropping to the Orange Traffic Light settings, they are able to be part of the show again this year and showcase their full range. With some models still available, you'll find them again on stand 336 in hall 3, between 12-15 May.

Also in Auckland, the divinely named "Celeste", a 12-metre Roger Hill-designed power catamaran, is in build at G&T Marine; it's the first-time seasoned boat builder Grant Symmans has worked with the DuFLEX panel system and Z-press from ATL Composites. The privately-owned, custom-built, displacement-hull powercat is on track for delivery by May 2023 to an experienced owner looking for volume and ease of cruising.

So far, according to Grant, he has used the Z-press to join the DuFLEX panels for superstructure and cabin top. "It's a first for me," he states. "Roger is a huge fan, so we went with it. It's labour saving, comes as a kit, and the DuFLEX is lightweight and sturdy."

New boats this week includes the Dehler 46SQ. After the outstanding success of the Dehler 38 SQ, the traditional German brand presents its new flagship, the Dehler 46 SQ. SQ has long stood for Speed and Quality at Dehler, and thus for perfect sailing characteristics and state-of-the-art design. The new Dehler 46 SQ stands out with a new decoration and lighting concept, an intelligent interior layout, as well as high-performance upgrades to the rig and cockpit. That is why the 46 SQ combines pure sailing and comfort in a class of its own.

Windcraft are the Dehler distributors in Australia.

With the rain receding across the whole of Australia, and Monday a public holiday to celebrate Anzac Day, boaters will be especially active this weekend. Our message is to stay safe, observe the rues, and have a great time.
