Festival magic is in the air! We can almost smell the wood, varnish, corn on the cob, hear the music, and feel the spirit of Festival.

After a two-year hiatus of in-person festivities, we are beyond thrilled to invite our community back to celebrate with us here in Port Townsend at the 45th Annual Wooden Boat Festival, September 9-11, 2022.

Meet the artist

Steven and his wife Louise sailed into Port Townsend on their custom 60-foot Schooner Wolfhound in June 2021 for a 2-3 month stay. They stepped ashore and within a few days decided to spend a year here.

They fell in love with the beauty, the availability of fine craftsmanship and marine trades, and the people. They are heading north for the summer but will be back in town to work on some commissions in July and August—stay tuned for a poster signing event in the Chandlery in August and at the Festival.
