Seglervereinigung Kreuzlingen on the Bodensee hosted the second act of the Swiss J/70 Sailing Super League for eighteen teams from across their country. With conditions ranging from complete "glass-outs" to planing mode breezes in the teens, the teams enjoyed challenging lake sailing conditions all weekend long.
In the end, it was Thunersee Yachtclub that won the weekend to vault them into the leadership position for the series with a 3-1 tally for 4 pts. After winning the first regatta in Lake Lucerne, the Regattaclub Bodensee didn't have one of their better outings, finishing 4th in the regatta to end up in a tie for second in the series. The host club, Seglervereinigung Kreuzlingen, sailed a strong regatta to place 3rd and is tied with RCB for second overall.
Meanwhile, past multiple-season champions Societe Nautique de Geneve finally got their act together and posted a scintillating series of races to take second for the weekend. Despite their disastrous 10th place finish in the first regatta in Lucerne, the SNG is sitting in 5th overall and just 7 pts from the lead. As everyone knows in Switzerland, don't count out anyone as the teams experience their roller-coaster rides across the Swiss Alps into the final two regattas of the season late this summer!
