The Puerto Galera Yacht Club is proud to announce the dates for the Royal Cargo All Souls Regatta 2022: October 29-31.

The All Souls Regatta has been held during the All Saints / All Souls weekend in Puerto Galera since 2004 and every year has been accorded the title of "the largest yachting event in the Philippines", attracting both local and international entries.

This year the regatta will comprise a 3-day race series for racing and cruising yachts and a 2-day race series for Optimist dinghies. The dinghies will race courses laid within Puerto Galera Bay while the yachts will race courses set across the Verde Island Passage and its various islands.

The 3-day series for racing and cruising yachts features four classes: IRC, Cruiser Racer, Cruising and Multihulls.

Already, yachts and teams from the Albay Yacht Club (Legapsi City) and Subic Sailing (Subic Bay) have annouced their participation, as well as entries from the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club and crews from the Aberdeen Boat Club (Hong Kong). Notable racing yachts include: Sam Chan's Ffreefire, Ray Ordoveza's Karakoa and Jun Villanueva's Bellatrix

More than 30 yachts are expected to arrive in Puerto Galera, bringing hundreds of crew and even more friends & family to experience the amenities and facilities newly opening and re-opening as the pandemic recedes. Many of these visitors will stay on to explore what is now one of the Philippines' premier watersports and tourism destinations and, the only bay in the Philippines inducted into the 'Club of The most Beautiful Bays in the World'.

All proceeds from the All Souls Regatta go to fund the PGYC Small Boat Program, which teaches local school children and those of the Stairway Foundation Inc.*, the skills required to win international medals** as part of the Philippine Sailing Team. The PGYC Small Boat Program currently has a fleet of 10 Mirror dinghies and 10 Optimist dinghies that are on the water training every Saturday and on other days as and when groups arrive.

You can join the Royal Cargo All Souls Regatta as the organizers welcome press & media practitioners, as they do sailing enthisiasts from around the World.

Press & media practitioners are provided with places on the VIP & Media boat, standby medical team coverage by the private medical centre in Puerto Galera and ORMEMS Ambulance service, and a free lunch.

The Royal Cargo All Souls Regatta 2022 is organised in conjunction with the Philippine Sailing Association and supported by the Philippine Coast Guard and the Philippine Maritime Police.
