New York Yacht Club American Magic is pleased to announce Garmin, the world's most innovative and recognized marine electronics manufacturer, as the Official Supplier of Marine Electronics to support NYYC American Magic's preparations for their 37th America's Cup challenge.

American Magic will have access to Garmin's suite of marine products to maximize performance on the water as the team focuses on bringing sailing's most coveted prize back home to the United States.

"Our team is made up of over 100 people across Newport, RI, Pensacola, FL, and Barcelona, all of whom constantly monitor and maximize performance in a marine sport," said Terry Hutchinson, Skipper and President of Sailing Operations for NYYC American Magic. "To achieve the level of sustained high performance required to compete, it is essential that we utilize the best marine electronics in the industry as we focus on our high-performance sailing program and target the 37th America's Cup."

"On and off the water, the NYYC American Magic team is utilizing Garmin electronics and technology as they train and compete at the highest level and in the most challenging conditions," said David Dunn, Garmin Sr. Director of Marine and RV sales. "It's an honor to be a part of this storied program in their quest to win the America's Cup, the highest prize in sailing and the oldest trophy in international sports."

"We're thrilled to welcome Garmin back to the team and to continue working with them to develop and innovate around our 37th America's Cup campaign," said Jon Persch, Chief Commercial Officer of NYYC American Magic. "Garmin's legendary approach to creating superior products is similar to how our design and technology teams build an America's Cup yacht. In addition, their history in developing marine products is unparalleled in quality, innovation, and world-class performance."

New York Yacht Club American Magic will spend all winter in Pensacola, where sailing conditions in Pensacola Bay are perfect for developing the AC75, before relocating to Barcelona for the final push into the 37th America's Cup campaign in 2024. The 37th America's Cup will take place in Barcelona, Spain, in September and October 2024.
