State of the Oceans Report

Oceans are warming up © Daria Blackwell

The report explores the state of our world's oceans, from pollution and habitat degradation to the impacts of climate change, Sustainable Development Goals, and protection of marine environments.

Statista has published the State of the Oceans DossierPlus in cooperation with the German Sea Foundation, a non-profit organisation that aims to act as a moderator in the dialogue between policy-makers, industries such as energy, fisheries, and tourism, as well as fields such as conservation, science, and education. It provides a detailed overview of what is known and what needs to be done. One thing that is very clear, the oceans are heating up and they need our help!
