Raymarine chosen for its reliability, and shared brand values

Raymarine is announcing a three-year supplier agreement with Italian historical shipyard brand, Solemar, which specialises in luxury RIBs.

A pioneer in the yachting industry, Solemar is one of the main international market leaders in the sector.

Having enjoyed a positive and collaborative relationship with Raymarine in the past, Solemar has chosen the company to support its new endeavour of being reborn with a vision to reposition in a well-defined luxury niche. Quality, attention to detail and a clear focus on owner's needs will help define the product as one of a kind.

Carlo Baj, Country Manager, Raymarine Italy, said:

"We are thrilled to be part of the rebirth of this historic brand that has an importance place in the history of RIBs. Solemar wants to stand out for quality and elegance, and this fits perfectly with what has always been Raymarine's philosophy: to create technologically advanced and innovative products that guarantee maximum safety on board and at the same time stand out for high quality, modern aesthetics and maximum ease of use. We both strongly believe that our customers should have everything they need to enjoy their boat and navigation to the fullest."

Raymarine will supply a complete, integrated navigation system for the new Solemar SX RIB series, including Axiom+ chartplotters, Quantum Doppler radar, FLIR thermal imaging cameras and Ray53 VHFs.

The new Solemar SX series is designed for day cruises, offering open inflatables with optimised spaces for maximum comfort aboard. Next year, Solemar will also launch the SE -Solemar Elegance- series, which includes cabin models for short and medium cruises.

A spokesperson at Solemar added

"We are proud to have entered into this partnership with a major player like Raymarine: reliability, safety and high-quality standards are the main values our companies have in common."

The new SX RIB series will be introduced at this year's Genoa Boat Show, which will run from the 21st - 26th September 2023.
