The Live Ocean Racing team has finished Raid Quiberon fifth overall after a fifth place in the long-distance raid race sailed on the final day in France.

Led by Liv Mackay the OMEGA backed Live Ocean Racing team this week included Alex Maloney, Seb Menzies and Serena Woodall, with Andre Vandam and George Lee Rush alongside in support.

Alex Maloney describes the weather for the final day - “The raid today was in similar conditions starting with some beautiful breeze and then slowly dying as the day went on.”

Serena Woodall says, “It was really awesome to go out and sail around the Bay of Quiberon. We had a great day on the water. There was lots of lead changes and overtakes, and opportunity out there.”

Liv Mackay reflects on the regatta and looks ahead with excitement; “There’s always highlights during the week – even if it was pretty challenging there were a lot of good moments from the team. We got a race win so that’s definitely a positive, and we’re feeling pretty fast… so we’re excited for the rest of the season.”

Raid Quiberon is the second of five regattas that make up the 2023 series for these fast-paced foiling catamarans. The next event in the ETF26 SERIES is set for June 28 – July 1 at Foiling Week in Lake Garda, Italy.
