Live Ocean Racing has finished Foiling Week in Lake Garda, Italy just one point shy of the podium in their best result of the ETF26 Series 2023 season to date.

The final day for the fast-foiling ETF26 cats saw three races completed after a delayed start due to a wait for wind.

The podium places went the way of the three French entries; Entreprises du Morbihan took the win, TeamPro sailed a strong final day for the silver spot, and BlueShift Team nabbed third. Live Ocean Racing missed the podium by the narrowest of margins, finishing the regatta just a point behind BlueShift Team.

Liv Mackay says they were a “bit gutted not to get third” but she’s positive about how the team, which is a new combination this season, is sailing.

“There are huge positives from the event for the team.”

“Overall, it’s been a really fun event - we’ve loved foiling week. It feels like we’re sailing the boat better and better, so that’s really exciting. There’s definitely a great vibe on the boat.”

The 4th place finish is their best so far this season, having placed 5th in the two previous events.

The team have now packed up and will take the boat back to storage for a couple of months, before the next event in the series in La Rochelle, France from 20-23 September.
