YYachts makes its first-ever North American appearance at the Newport International Boat Show

We are thrilled to announce that later this year, YYachts will exhibit for the first time at the famous Newport International Boat Show in Rhode Island. In collaboration with Tripp Design, our US representative, we will showcase our award-winning Y7 boat, designed by Tripp Design. A stunning new 70-foot yacht, named "Miss Shell," will be on show in Newport, N2 Dock, from September 14th to 17th.
While YYachts has been a regular exhibitor at prestigious Mediterranean boat shows in Palma, Cannes and Genoa, the decision to expand to the US market signifies an important milestone for us as a German luxury yacht builder. A quaint eastern seaboard town famous for its yacht designers/builders, Newport, Rhode Island - the smallest state of the union and home of America's Cup racing 1930 to 1983 - provides the perfect setting for YYachts to reach out to the North American yachting community.
YYachts' founder, Michael Schmidt, expressed his enthusiasm about the news: "We're already detecting strong interest for YYachts in the USA and Canada. Several North American customers have already purchased or taken delivery of our boats, so I think the Newport Show is a perfect venue in which to showcase our latest work." To ensure our guests in Newport receive the perfect welcome with comprehensive and professional design support, YYachts will have its in-house design team and representatives from Tripp Design available at the show to provide on-the-spot advice and guidance to potential owners.
The Y7, YYachts' most successful creation to date, offers a unique concept that allows owners to sail the 22-meter yacht either alone or with a small crew. Its lightweight construction enables smooth sailing even in light winds and its design embodies exceptional sustainability. "Miss Shell," our luxury yacht on display in Newport, is one of the most remarkable Y7s launched to date, featuring a captivating sky-blue hull that really turns heads in the marina. Beneath her stylish exterior lies a modern-minimalist interior design. Since her launch, "Miss Shell" has embarked on numerous voyages and races, including a transatlantic crossing under her own keel.
The Newport International Boat Show, now in its 52nd year, covers over 14 acres of Newport's historic waterfront and serves as a premier platform for hundreds of dealers and manufacturers, showcasing new and used yachts ranging from 15 to 90 feet.
