Today was the second day of racing at the ILCA 6 2024 Youth and Men's Worlds Championships, held in Mar del Plata and organized by the Yacht Club Argentino and the International Laser Class Association.

It was a warm day with 15-knot northwest winds gradually decreasing in intensity throughout the day. The forecast called for a shift to the south by noon, which had occurred as racing for the day ended.

In the Men's ILCA 6, Argentinian Francisco Renna leads, securing a third-place finish in today's race. Brazilian Antonio Cavalcanti Rosa is two points behind in second place overall. In third place is Argentinian Juan Pablo Bisio, who won the day's only race. "Despite the onshore wind direction, there weren't many shifts and a fair and clean race was possible," recalled Bisio.

In the Youth Women's Division, only one race was completed as well. The top three positions remain almost unchanged: Italians Maria Vittoria Arseni and Ginevra Caracciolo are in first and second place, respectively. In third place, as yesterday, is Ukrainian Alina Shapovalova.

The Youth Men's division completed two races, and Italian Antonio Pascali continues to lead. Brazilian Gustavo Canovas Kiessling is in second place, and in third place is fellow Brazilian Thomas Vives Potthoff, who had a very good first race.

All information about the event, as well as photos and videos, is available on the official event website and on the social media pages.
