Hyde Osprey Wins King George Gallop

by Hyde Sails 24 Jan 08:59 UTC

Following a successful re-entry into the Osprey in 2023, Hyde Sails have continued to work on refining the new sail designs for the 2024 season.

Racing over the weekend at the King George Gallop in one of the SailJuice Winter Series events, Ben McGrane and James Ross scored 4,1,2 to win overall.

'The winter events offer us valuable time on the water, King George is a trick venue for a larger boats with the course being relatively short, but that means its great time spent refining boat handling and with myself and James still being new to this class every time we get out it is time spent learning. The real positive is with gusty and unstable conditions we were able to find a manageable setup with the new sail designs working well.' Ben McGrane - Hyde One Design Manager.

The winter sailing combined with the sailing completed in 2023 has allowed us to compile a new tuning guide to accompany the sails. We will be expanding on this with more detailed information on jib sheeting angle and use of other sail controls in the coming weeks ready for the start of the season.

Now is the time to be ordering sails for the 2024 season, get the latest Hyde designs with 15% discount ordering online until end of the 2024 Dinghy & Watersports Show with guaranteed delivery for 1st April.
