The Coast Guard Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to strengthening the Coast Guard community and service by supporting members and families, announced its annual Run to Remember will be held over Memorial Day weekend, May 25-27, 2024. The event honors fallen Coast Guard heroes and their families, and raises funds for the organization's tragedy assistance programs.

The primary way to support the event is to order this year's Run to Remember T-shirt, which costs $27. Those who order a T-shirt will also receive a keepsake racing bib and an event poster. Run to Remember t-shirts can be ordered year-round thanks to corporate sponsor, the American Steamship Owners Mutual Protection & Indemnity Association, Inc. (The American Club).

Supporters can take part by:

  • joining the nationwide virtual Run to Remember 5K on Memorial Day, May 27,
  • organizing a Run to Remember event in their community,
  • posting about the event on social media.
All participants are encouraged to wear this year's T-shirt, get together with friends, family and community members to run or walk in honor of fallen Coast Guard heroes and their families.

"This year and every year, the Coast Guard Foundation seeks to honor the legacy of our fallen Coast Guard heroes by bringing people and communities together," said Susan Ludwig, President of the Coast Guard Foundation. "We appreciate everyone who participates and supports our mission to help Coast Guard families in times of great need."
