The Singapore Yachting Festival (SYF) 2024 concluded with resounding success, affirming its status as Asia's premier yachting event.

Held at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove from April 25-28, this year's event boasted an impressive showcase of the yachting industry. With 72 vessels on display, along with 75 exhibitors representing 115 brands, it provided a comprehensive look into the latest innovations and offerings in yachting.

Mr. Arthur Tay, Chairman and CEO of SUTL Group of Companies, expressed, "As the organiser of the Singapore Yachting Festival, I'm heartened by the tremendous support and positive feedback received by the yachting business community this year. With many who have expressed interest to return next year, we are committed to expanding the lifestyle offerings at the event, providing a holistic yachting and luxury experience for discerning visitors."

The SYF 2024 was well-attended by over 11,500 international visitors, which was a 25% increase from the previous year. This remarkable turnout underscores the growing interest and demand for yachting in the region. SYF highlighted Singapore's emergence as a prominent yachting hub, boasting expertise, accessibility, and top-notch infrastructure capable of hosting unique on-water exhibitions as such.

Mark Elkington, CEO of The Yacht Sales Co. said, "as part of our strategic growth in Asia, the 2024 Singapore Yachting Festival was an excellent opportunity to increase our brand awareness in the region and continue to grow our client base. Overall, we are very happy with the visitorship and number of orders taken at the event. We look forward to being part of next year's festival with the aim to display a more comprehensive range of brands and models for visitors to explore."

Exclusive experiences and premieres:

The SYF 2024 was a haven for unique experiences. The 72 vessels on display ranged from alternative fuel solutions and electric hydro-foiling crafts, to sleek design motor yachts and world-renowned superyachts. Attendees, whether seasoned boaters or newcomers, had the opportunity to explore ancillary equipment and enjoy hands-on experiences with water toys. More than just a trade show, the festival embodied the essence of boating culture, celebrating lifestyle, luxury, freedom, and fun.

Amongst the plethora of premium experiences, visitors had the rare opportunity to tour the expedition yacht M/Y GALILEO, available for charter in the Maldives and Southeast Asia. "It was an honour for M/Y GALILEO to participate in the Singapore Yachting Festival 2024 as the largest yacht (55.7 meters) this year. We took pleasure in the opportunity to engage with a vibrant community of clients, brokers, and suppliers from the Southeast Asian region," shared Andreas Stader, Head of Marketing at M/Y GALILEO.

The Festival also witnessed new exhibitors who participated, namely; Asia Global Yachting, Damen Yachting, ST Engineering, Yacht Sourcing, Flow Yacht Club, and Fischer Panda, to name a few. In addition, SYF also expanded its exhibitor categories to include private aviation, superyacht builders, luxury concierge, luxury cars and bespoke jewellery, which underscored its commitment to providing a diverse and comprehensive showcase of the yachting industry.

The event hosted esteemed VIP groups and prominent guests, adding to SYF's allure and prestige. Among the attendees were representatives from prestigious car clubs and private clubs such as the Ferrari Owners' Club Singapore, 67 Pall Mall, the Young President Organisation Singapore Chapter, as well as prominent C-suite guests, family offices, fund managers and business owners.

The SYF provided an excellent stage for festivities, gatherings, and product premieres. M/Y SILENT WORLD unveiled unique art creations by Singaporean digital artists—niceaunties, during an intimate cocktail event. Simpson Marine, Asia's premier yacht sales and brokerage firm, marked its 40th Anniversary in a grand celebration with the popping of a six-litre champagne bottle.

"This event provides an ideal platform to showcase our exceptional range of yachts and services while connecting us with yacht owners and customers attending the show from all over Asia. As Asia's main yachting event, it's an unmissable yearly rendezvous for visitors looking to discover more about boating and access this one-of-a-kind lifestyle. In summary, yet another vibrant edition and we are looking forward to the next one." shared Richard Allen, COO of Simpson Marine Group.

2025 Announcements:

Looking ahead, SYF announced exciting developments for the 2025 edition, which will be held from 10 to 13 April at later show hours with more comfortable weather conditions. The Festival has also received overwhelming interest from a lineup of returning exhibitors to book their berths.

Expansion plans are under way to activate land areas, extending the Festival's offerings to include categories such as waterfront properties, luxury watches, jewellery, marine equipment and many more.
