VETUS, the leading developer of complete boats systems, has joined forces with popular sailing YouTube stars SV Delos in a high-profile sponsorship deal uniting two of the yachting industry's leading brands.

Under the terms of the new collaboration, the experienced vloggers will showcase an array of innovative onboard VETUS solutions and products to the huge worldwide fan base who avidly follow their inspirational Sailing SV Delos YouTube channel and social media posts.

VETUS is supplying the marine equipment specifically to support SV Delos's Brian Trautman and his wife, Karin, in their ambitious project to build Delos 2.0 - an aluminum expeditionary catamaran designed for extensive cruising. The new Delos Explorer 53, which will replace their current sailing monohull yacht, will be highly customized and environmentally friendly, featuring hybrid-electric propulsion, a massive solar array, integrated rainwater collection and a low maintenance exterior.

Key components for the propulsion system on Delos 2.0 will be provided by VETUS, including the propeller shaft, shaft seal, sea water strainers and the entire exhaust system, as well as sound proofing. Aiming for a launch date at the end of 2025, Brian and Karin will also install various other VETUS systems on the new build, such as the toilets, black water tanks, tank connections and fuel filtering.

The SV Delos core crew of Brian, from Arizona, Swede Karin and their daughter, Sierra, stand out as one of the world's top sailing YouTubers due to their authentic style and storytelling, engaging personalities and honest portrayal of the highs and lows of their adventurous sailing lifestyle - all enhanced with excellent cinematography and drone footage.

Brian, who is a former electrical engineer, used his knowledge to make various improvements to Delos and appreciates the VETUS reputation for reliability, ease of use and innovation as he plans the hands-on system installations and build of the new catamaran.

Brian said: "We have depended on VETUS products for years on our first circumnavigation and could not be more excited to have VETUS as a partner as we build Delos 2.0! This project is one of our biggest adventures ever and it is essential for us that we do not compromise on the quality, efficiency and reliability of the systems we install.

"In VETUS, we are confident we have a partner who will not let us down. The brand is well known for offering a comprehensive product range and for supplying cutting-edge equipment which is easy to use and install and trusted for its reliability and durability during long-term cruising. In addition, VETUS has a worldwide service network so we can be assured of support wherever we are in the world.

"We hope to have our hull and deck completed in October and we will start the outfitting of the propulsion system in November. We expect to continue installing systems like toilets, holding tanks and outfitting the interior throughout most of 2025. Viewers can look out for several segments spread across our videos when we install individual systems that utilize VETUS products. We are also excited to attend the Annapolis Show this October when we will spend time with the VETUS team, so stop by and see us!"

Attracting millions of monthly viewers across 195 countries, SV Delos keep their audience entertained with professionally produced videos depicting stunning settings and interesting cultures from some of the most idyllic, remote locations in the world. Varied episodes have featured swimming with sharks, scuba diving and extreme sports, plus informative repair and maintenance segments, with day-to-day living and challenging passages also documented.

The sailors have amassed more than 880k YouTube subscribers after posting around 640 videos since 2014, with 225k Instagram followers, 146k Facebook followers, and an 'Inner Tribe' support base on the Patreon platform.

Designed from the ground up, Delos 2.0 will feature watertight bulkheads, 6mm hull plates below the waterline, protected propellors and rudders, a fully insulated hull, and a unique outside galley with integrated dinghy storage and a walk around entertainment platform.

Sander Gesink, VETUS Marketing Director, added: "We are delighted to partner with likeminded brands like SV Delos and look forward to a mutually beneficial collaboration. Anyone watching their videos is inspired by their enthusiasm for life aboard - a spirit which very much aligns with the VETUS mission to make time on the water as comfortable, enjoyable and safe as possible. We are fully supporting Brian and Karin in their new build project and excited to see how the VETUS solutions enhance the design and capabilities of the catamaran. I also hope everyone viewing the SV Delos videos benefits from seeing real-life footage of installation and use of the VETUS products and gains a new understanding of their innovations and benefits."

After already covering 85,000nm and visiting six continents and 50 countries in Delos, Brian and Karin have most recently been chronicling their adventures in French Polynesia, following previous travels across the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Oceans, sailing in Australia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines, Namibia, South Africa and Svalbard.

One of the original sailing YouTube channels, SV Delos is notable for its ever-changing crew, which has included Brian's brother Brady and his partner Alex Blue. The YouTubers are also known for their efforts to protect the environment whenever they sail and for their philanthropic activities, including the donation of $50,000 to charities and contribution to restoration efforts in Dominica after Hurricane Maria.
