Trusted by mariners and sailing enthusiasts for more than two centuries, Imray is announcing the gradual conclusion of its chart publishing operations, marking the end of an era. While this decision has not been taken lightly, it is a recognition of growing trends in nautical digital navigation.

Meanwhile, Imray will continue with a focus on supporting the maritime world through its comprehensive pilot book and cruising guide titles, together with the popular 'Explore with Imray' digital product. These resources will continue to offer sailors and adventurers a guiding hand and vital, verified information for coastal and offshore navigation.

Charts will continue to be printed and supported by Imray Notices to Mariners through the 2025 season. After that point, Imray will no longer publish new editions.

The long lead time offers an important opportunity to equip leisure and coded vessels with Imray's trusted charts in high quality paper format. Imray is only one of two chart publishers with Maritime and Coastguard Agency recognition, the other being the UKHO. With price increases for official government charts applicable from January 2025, this is an ideal time to stock up with the more cost-effective Imray charts, tailored to leisure sailors.

Imray's legacy of nautical innovation and knowledge-sharing has been central to its mission since the mid-1700s, when its founders served merchant ships from the City of London, delivering the highest quality navigational resources possible.

The company offers a final opportunity for potential buyers interested in preserving its legacy, providing a unique chance to acquire the chart business and/or rights to the Imray name, and so carry forward its well-established tradition within the global maritime community.

Imray extends its heartfelt thanks to its customers, partners and the marine community for their loyal support, enabling the company to guide countless journeys and promote exploration. As the production of paper charts concludes, Imray is proud to continue a legacy of precision and quality with trusted navigation resources that will inspire generations to come.
