After a couple of packed days with arrivals in IGY Santa Marta, Colombia, the programme kicked off this morning with a tour to a coffee farm and waterfalls.

Colombia is well known for its coffee exports and there are a number of coffee 'fincas' throughout the country. Minca is no different and boasts several coffee farms in the area to visit.

The coffee farm La Victoria is very unique and produces very high-quality coffee. There are no chemicals, no pesticides, they do their own composting and live in harmony with nature. The American guide, Jeremy, is passionate about the history and culture of this place and wants to make sure of a great experience.

Deep in the mountains of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Marinka Waterfalls and the surrounding region are a hiker's dream. As there was no time to hike, we plunged into the waterfall pond and everyone had a great and refreshing time!

Tomorrow, IGY Santa Marta will officially welcome the World ARC fleet visiting Santa Marta for the 10th time, and the day after we have a get together where paella and sangria will be served. Ahead of the passage to Panama a briefing will take place on Monday followed by prize-giving for the first leg of the rally hosted by the marina.

A huge thank you to IGY Santa Marta and all the staff that went above and beyond their duty to make sure of a very successful visit. Thank you!
