Cruising Club of America Guides to Canadian Cruising Adventures

by Simon Currin 31 Jan 2025 21:31 UTC

The Cruising Club of America publishes cruising guides for Maine (online only), the Canadian Maritimes and the Viking Route that are written and regularly updated by sailors who know these waters. The guides provide route planning, detailed harbour information, photography, and more.

A little over 100 miles sailing from Bar Harbor, Maine, and you are in the territory covered by the Cruising Guide to Nova Scotia—hundreds of empty, pristine anchorages, historic towns like Lunenberg, the bustling City of Halifax, and the pristine Bras d'Or Lakes.

The Cruising Guide to Gulf of St. Lawrence shows the way to Prince Edward Island and up the mighty St. Lawrence River to Quebec City.

Farther east, and it's the CCA Cruising Guide to Newfoundland that describes that island's rugged beauty and welcoming communities.

Finally, for the truly adventurous, the Cruising Guide to Labrador will lead you north to an awe-inspiring coastline that is mostly untouched and uninhabited all the way up to arctic waters.

And, if your dreams are even larger, the CCA's Essential Passage Guide to the Viking Route will take you across the Atlantic by the ancient ways to Greenland, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Scandinavia, and Scotland. If you want a winter of dreaming or a summer of exploration, these guides will be trusted companions for the journey.
