Raymarine - global leader in high-performance marine electronics for the recreational boating, marine first-responder and law-enforcement markets - has announced the release of the next generation of LightHouse Charts for Raymarine Axiom and Element multifunction displays.

LightHouse Charts GEN 2 deliver faster chart redraw speeds, expanded and updated coverage and premium data updates.

Offering users a more fluid and comfortable experience, LightHouse Charts GEN 2 lets boaters explore three times faster than first generation LightHouse Charts with exceptional redraw speeds. The new charts have been updated with the latest official hydrographic office nautical chart data for accurate and reliable navigation. The global LightHouse Charts regional catalog receives an upgrade with over 14,000 updates, expanded coverage, and new bodies of water. Updated regions included Northern Europe, Western Europe, Mediterranean, Oceana and North America. Notable global updates include over 3,000 new lakes in Canada, Baja California coverage, plus expanded coverage to include Turkey, Greece, and the Pacific Islands.

"LightHouse Charts GEN 2 set the bar for intuitive, clear and reliable navigation," said Grégoire Outters, General Manager at Raymarine. "Pairing the increased processing power of our latest chartplotters with an upgraded cartography engine, we have optimized our LightHouse Charts to make them one of the most powerful and information-rich cartography solutions on the market. Whether you are relying on Raymarine to get you to your favorite fishing spot or charting a course offshore, LightHouse Charts GEN 2 provides an intuitive and confidence-inspiring navigation experience."

Created from official hydrographic chart sources, LightHouse Charts offer maximum readability, intuitive navigation and superior nautical chart quality. Four distinct color palettes provide the best possible viewing conditions around the clock, and chart symbol controls give users the power to customize the charts to the conditions or their preferences.

Subscribing to LightHouse Charts Premium allows access to regular chart updates and enhanced satellite imagery overlays. Premium subscribers also receive access to an expansive and downloadable points of interest (POI) library with information-rich POI data from trusted providers including Mapbox, Marinas.com, Reeds Almanac, Waterway Guide, Navily and Pagine Azzurre.

The new LightHouse Charts are available with the purchase of any new Axiom or Element display; existing Raymarine chartplotter owners can purchase the new charts separately, starting at $149.99 USD. Current subscribers to LightHouse Charts Premium can upgrade their charts at no cost to the new GEN 2 standard by visiting chartmanager.raymarine.com and updating their charts online.
