The Real Club Náutico de València (RCN Valencia) concluded its participation in the 10th edition of the Comunitat Valenciana Olympic Week with a historic performance in the 29er class.

This year's event, organized by the Federación de Vela de la Comunitat Valenciana, featured record-breaking numbers with 248 sailors from 22 countries representing 65 nautical clubs. Among them, the 29er class stood out as a highlight, attracting a highly competitive international fleet.

29er Class Overview and Results

The 29er competition kicked off on Thursday and featured 12 total races. The event included two days of qualifying rounds, where six races were completed, followed by another six races in the final series. This rigorous schedule allowed for a thrilling display of skill and determination across all participating teams.

French duo Nolann Huet des Aunay and Titouan Gresset claimed the overall victory in the 29er class, demonstrating exceptional consistency and speed. In the women's category, Poland's Antonia Puchowska and Alicja Dampc took home the gold with a commanding performance. The mixed category was dominated by Lila and Tymon Sochaj, also from Poland, who showcased outstanding teamwork to secure their top spot.

SUB17 Category Success

The competition also recognized standout performances in the SUB17 category. Blanka Sójkowska and Agata Koropecka of Poland took first place in the female division, while Hugo Madec and Guirec Gendrot of France claimed gold in the male category. The British pair of Eliana Edwards and James Crossley triumphed in the mixed division, earning well-deserved accolades for their performance.

A Milestone Edition

This year's Comunitat Valenciana Olympic Week marked a significant milestone for the 29er class, solidifying its reputation as one of the most competitive and exciting events in the international sailing calendar. With its diverse fleet and high-level competition, the event not only showcased the talent of the sailors but also underscored Valencia's status as a premier sailing destination.

The RCN Valencia's successful hosting of the 29er class, as part of the Eurocup 29er Series, highlighted the club's commitment to promoting excellence in sailing. The club's leaders, including RCN Valencia President Marisa Arlandis and Chema Escudero, Board Member for Sailing, were present at the trophy ceremony to celebrate the achievements of the competitors.

As the Comunitat Valenciana Olympic Week concluded, the 29er class left a lasting impression, with sailors and spectators alike eagerly anticipating the next edition.
