Musto's Flexlite Dynamic delivers new innovations for foilers and kiteboarders

Musto launched the new Flexlite Dynamic range designed specifically for foilers and kiteboarders at the RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show, the latest iteration of the Flexlite Collection.
- The new Flexlite Dynamic range includes steamers (full-length), shortys and long johns.

Responding to the huge growth in foiling and kiting, today Musto has launched the latest iteration of the Flexlite Collection showcasing the new Flexlite Dynamic range, designed specifically for foilers and kiteboarders. The new Flexlite Dynamic range of steamers, shortys and long johns were presented to the public and media by British Sailing Team Formula Kite 2024 Olympic Gold medalist Ellie Aldridge and Musto ambassador, Free Ride Athlete Tom Court at the RYA Dinghy and Watersports Show 2025.
"We have seen huge growth in the foiling and kiteboarding sectors," said Musto Marketing Director, Nick Houchin. "The Paris 2024 Games saw the introduction of two new Olympic classes - the IQFoil and Formula Kite. We have overhauled the Flexlite Dynamic range to bring new design innovations that will go a long way to improving performance on the water whether kiting, boarding or foiling where freedom of movement and protection is essential."
The new Flexlite Dynamic range has been designed and developed in partnership with the British Sailing Team and extensively trialled by athletes in the IQFoil and Formula Kite classes. "It's great to be here with Tom and to see the new Flexlite Dynamic range come to fruition," said Ellie Aldridge. "For the team to provide input into the development of this new range is fantastic and certainly helps with the athletes performance out on the water."
As official clothing partner to the British Sailing Team, the Musto design team undertook many visits to Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy to discuss development of the range with the British Sailing Team sailors including Formula Kite athletes Lily Young (2023 World Championship Bronze medallist) and Connor Bainbridge (Team GB), and IQ Foil athletes Sam Sills (member of Team GB for the 2024 Olympics) and, his sister, Saskia Sills.
Also providing invaluable testing and feedback was Musto ambassador Free Ride Athlete, Tom Court with every feature and innovation repeatedly analysed to ensure the development of an outstanding range of products: "I have been working with Musto to develop and refine their new neoprene wetsuit range, testing them across all environments and conditions, through the whole UK winter and using them across multiple sports. Kitesurfing, wing foil or surfing, these wetsuits perform," said Court. "Warmer, more comfortable and hyper flexible. Musto wetsuits are built for purpose and tested to the extreme."
The Men's & Women's Flexlite Dynamic 4/3mm steamer is the new full-length wetsuit made in Flexlite neoprene with all seams fully taped and blind stitched. 4mm thickness at body and legs, 3mm thickness at shoulders and arms with a thermal backer at chest and back body/seat to help temperature control and protect against strong winds on the back. Ergonomic seam placement gives freedom of movement when pumping the arms for kite or wing foiling and bartacks at sleeve cuff, leg hem and collar allows for customisation in length to improve fit. The removal of reinforcements at the seat and knee areas allows for more stretch and flexibility required for foiling versus traditional sailing. Available in black. RRP £350.
The Men's & Women's Flexlite Dynamic 3mm shorty provides 3mm thickness at body and legs and 2mm thickness at shoulders and arms. The shorty design is especially suitable for kite foilers who are often in a squatting position with arms raised. This design keeps legs unrestricted for freedom of movement and ensures the foilers don't become too hot. The shorty comes in a longer leg on the men's fit and shorter leg on women's. Men's comes in carbon grey whilst the female squad sailors requested a black colourway. RRP £250.
The Men's & Women's Flexlite Dynamic 2mm long john is the thinnest product at 2mm thickness all over. The women's fit has been given a racer back design and a half zip at the front. The Men's long john comes in carbon grey and black colourway for the women's fit. RRP £175.
