Raymarine, global leader in high-performance marine electronics for recreational boating, government and defence, and commercial shipping has increased its EcoVadis score from 64 to 68 points, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.

Ecovadis is a globally recognised platform that rates businesses' sustainability practises across environment, labour and human rights, ethics and procurement practises. Raymarine's consistent performance has secured its Silver Medal status, positioning the business in the top 15 percent of companies evaluated by EcoVadis.

The enhancement in the score is particularly significant given the increasingly stringent criteria and expanded scope of questions that companies are now required to address. This shift towards more rigorous evaluations has driven continuous improvement across all EcoVadis-rated businesses. This context underscores the progress Raymarine has made in a more challenging assessment landscape.

Key highlights of Raymarine's improved EcoVadis rating include:

  • Environment: Increased score from 70 to 73 points with recognition for materiality assessment, the initiation of Scope 3 emissions measurement, and waste reporting.
  • Ethics: Increased score from 70 to 75 points, with benefits from the integration of Teledyne Technologies policies and processes on data security and ethics and fraud processes.
  • Sustainable Procurement: A substantial increase from 50 to 70 points, attributed to extensive work by the procurement and supply chain teams on the Sustainable Procurement policy, supplier risk assessments, and supplier code of conduct.

"We are committed to sustainable business practices that protect our natural resources and allow our customers to enjoy their time on the water and get to their destination safely" said Grégoire Outters, General Manager at Raymarine. "Achieving a higher score amidst tougher assessment criteria is a testament to our focus on responsible business operations and environmental stewardship."

Boat builders and commercial shipping operators who select Raymarine can be assured of the company's dedication to sustainable development and its proactive approach to addressing environmental challenges. Raymarine remains committed to further improving its sustainability practices and contributing positively to the marine industry.
