Sail Canada partners with LI/NE, a Canadian company that recycles old sails and turns them into bags

Sail Canada is proud to announce, on the occasion of Earth Day 2025, a new partnership with LI/NE, a Canadian company that recycles old sails and turns them into bags.
LI/NE, a woman-owned company based in Toronto, is committed to reimagining waste by collecting, cleaning and repurposing old sails into beautiful, durable and one-of-a-kind bags that are skillfully handcrafted in small batches in Toronto.
As part of its strategy on sustainability, Sail Canada is inviting Canadian sailors who will take part in the Sail Canada Youth Fest, August 1-5, and/or the Youth Championships and Senior 49er/49erFX Championships, August 21-24, to make use of the old sails they have in their garage by bringing them to the events so LI/NE can give them a second life and transform them into bags.
Throughout the year, Canadian sailors will also have access to special offers from LI/NE through the Sail Canada Sailors Portal, and part of the proceeds from sales will go back to Sail Canada's programs.

To celebrate Earth Day 2025 and to launch this new partnership, LI/NE is proud to offer 10% off on online sales at linebags.ca today, April 22, tomorrow, Wednesday, April 23, and Thursday, April 24, until 11:59pm (ET). Over this time period, LI/NE will also support Sail Canada's programs by giving 10% of proceeds from the online sales back to Sail Canada.
To take advantage of this offer, Canadian sailors are invited to get their discount code by logging on to the Sail Canada Sailor Portal at members.sailcanada.org, and then by going, in the left Menu, to "Special Offers", then to "See All".
