Game-Changing Bulkhead Pipe Glands Lead Barton Marine's Launches at METSTRADE 2025

by Barton Marine 14 Nov 12:00 UTC Stand 01.474, 18-20 November 2025

Find Barton Marine at METSTRADE 2025 with a revamped stand (01.474) and a fresh new catalogue to exhibit their comprehensive range of over 2000 deck hardware products to the marine industry.

The team will host the official launch of the new Barton Bulkhead Gland Range on Tuesday evening, highlighting to the industry the game changing and regulation compliant solution for water, vapour and dust tight transitions of pipes, tubes and cables through bulkheads on boats. Also new for 2026 is an expanded Stanchion and Stand Up Block Range and new size of Low Friction Ring with Spliced Dyneema Strop.

Barton Marine are renowned for their popular annual press and product launch party and this year have organised an event like no other! At 5.45pm on Tuesday 18th November, journalists, distributors, naval architects, boat builders, yacht refit yards, marine engineers and anyone dealing with compliance issues in boat building and refit work are invited to the gala launch which promises to be spectacular! Perhaps the first time a new product range has its own theme song! Expect live music, dancers, food, drink and lots of fun as The Barton Bulkhead Blues Band and Dancers introduce the new range!

The Barton Bulkhead Pipe Glands range is the ultimate new solution to isolate boat compartments for safety and comfort by fully sealing the aperture between compartments where pipes, tubes and cables pass through, on both curved surfaces and with angled pipe entry. The gland requires no mastics, sealants or solvent based resins to perform and remains fully serviceable.

Achieving a reliable seal has been a long-standing challenge for the boat building and refit sectors and the glands enable boat yards to meet new MCA Workboat Code 3, MGN 200 and pending regulations that correspond with IMO protocols for vapour and water tight construction.

Key features include:

  • Seals the aperture for pipe, tube & cable Integration
  • Vapour & watertight construction
  • Reduces vibration, noise & pipe chafing
  • Compatible for angled pipes & curved surfaces
  • Sealed but fully serviceable & adjustable
  • 316 Stainless Steel & Nitrile Rubber (BS2751)
  • Requires no mastics, sealants or solvent based resins
  • Great value and easy installation

For boat owners these glands create watertight compartments to reduce water damage and flood risk, odours are blocked from transferring through the boat, vibration is reduced, noise and pipe chaffing through bulkheads are problems of the past.

The range consists of a variety of glands, inserts and blanking plugs to cover pipes and tube outer diameters of 25mm to 180mm. It provides great value with highly competitive RRPs from £24 - £180. Trade prices are available through Barton's global distributor network.

Barton's ethos for innovation also sees the yacht equipment range expanded with two new Size 0 Stand Up Blocks available in plain and ball bearing options. Featuring 20mm sheaves they are ideal for control lines as well as canopies, awnings and various other uses across the marine industry.

Stanchion Lead Blocks have always been part of the Barton product portfolio, but with the changing demands of sailors, 2026 sees a wider selection introduced to include cam blocks, removable sheaves and a ratchet block version. Separately, a new size of Low Friction Ring on a D12 SK75 Dyneema Strop has also been added due to popular demand.

All these new and recent launches like sleek new Genoa Cars and stylish Continuous Line Furler HBT will be on stand 01.474 to explore further and discuss with the Barton team throughout METSTRADE 2025. The new Barton catalogue will also be available to pick up on the stand. To find further information about the range before the show visit bartonmarine.com.
